We are delighted to announce the Release Candidate of Schoolbox v16.5, which is currently being tested by our schools. We have completed a major re-engineering of the LMS to support project-based learning (PBL) and personalised learning (PL) and improve submission and assessment workflows. Particularly exciting is the brand new ‘Fixtures’, a highly voted for and sought after feature for Schoolbox Elite customers.

Fixtures
Set up and manage school sports, activities and events to help you support extra-curricular events at your school, which are crucial to the development of the whole student. These dynamic and changing events often present communication challenges. With this in mind, we have designed a system that can push relevant information to team members and their parents about where and when they are involved in an activity. This system is fully integrated into the calendar, team home pages and notification system.
Projects
Keep up-to-date with the latest changes for online learning. Whether you are developing project-based learning or attempting to differentiate or individualise your student activities, the new project container adds an additional layer of assessment into your courses and classroom. You can have confidence in Schoolbox that it continues to support the ever increasing requirements of modern online assessment practices.
Navigation
Configure the layout of both the top and side navigation areas. The side navigation can be relabeled and resequenced allowing you to prioritise the sections in the sidebar. The top navigation area is now completely customisable allowing you to remove, add and customise the links available to your users. In addition, you can now show and hide icons based on campus and role, allowing you to show only the key features needed for certain users based on their role type.
LTI Support
Access and integrate many specialised education tools that can provide experiences beyond the standard tools provided within Schoolbox. With LTI you can provide seamless access for students to utilise 3rd party tools without the need for extra setup or configuration.
