What is Schoolbox?

Schoolbox is an all-in-one learning management system (LMS) and community portal designed for K–12 schools. It brings teaching, learning, wellbeing, and communication together in one connected platform, helping schools create a more unified experience for students, teachers, and parents.

With Schoolbox, schools can plan and deliver lessons, track progress, share news and events, and engage the whole community from a single hub. It’s the platform that grows with your school, adapting as your needs evolve.

What sets Schoolbox apart from other LMS platforms?

Unlike traditional LMS platforms that focus only on coursework, Schoolbox combines learning, wellbeing, and communication in one connected experience. It’s built specifically for K–12 schools and can function across any combination of curriculums, allowing it to be used across the whole school. What is the difference between the Learning and Community plans?

Our Learning plans include the complete Schoolbox experience, combining all core learning management (LMS) features with our community portal tools.

Our Community plans are a streamlined version designed for schools that already have an existing LMS but want to use Schoolbox as their community portal.

In short, Learning plans deliver the full suite of Schoolbox features, while Community plans focus solely on communication and engagement.

Is Schoolbox suitable for IB schools?

Yes! Schoolbox is a curriculum agnostic platform that is perfectly compatible to support the teaching and learning of multiple school curriculums, including the IB frameworks. More information on how Schoolbox supports the PYP, MYP, DP/CP frameworks can be found here.

What regions does Schoolbox support?

Schoolbox supports schools across the world. We are currently used by schools in Asia, Europe and Oceania.

What languages does Schoolbox support?

Currently Schoolbox only supports English language based teaching.

Is Schoolbox used by teachers, students or parents?

All three. Schoolbox connects teachers, students, and parents in one platform so everyone can stay informed and engaged. Teachers can plan lessons, manage assessments, and track wellbeing. Students can access learning resources, submit work, and monitor their progress. Parents can view updates, grades, and school news all in one place.

What type of schools can use Schoolbox?

Schoolbox is built for all K–12 schools, from early learning through to senior years. Whether you’re a single-campus school, distance education or part of a large school group or diocese, Schoolbox adapts to your structure, curriculum, and community needs. It supports multiple learning frameworks, including the IB, Australian Curriculum, and British Curriculum,  and scales easily as your school grows.

Is Schoolbox hard to use?

Not at all, Schoolbox is designed to be an intuitive solution that is approachable for learners, educators and parents. The platform has been shaped by the experiences of educators past and present and is constantly evolving based on the feedback we receive from our customers.

What data security standards does Schoolbox follow?

Schoolbox applies comprehensive organisational, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of school data. Our security framework is supported by senior leadership, reviewed regularly, and embedded in our culture through ongoing staff training, strict access controls, and secure software development practices. Features

Does Schoolbox support pastoral care?

Yes! Schoolbox has pastoral care functionality as a built-in feature in many of our Learning Enhanced and Community Elite plans.

Does Schoolbox integrate with Google Classroom or Microsoft Education?

Yes, Schoolbox supports multiple integrations with these platforms so you can continue to use the software without interruption. You can find more information about our integrations here.

How often is Schoolbox updated?

Schoolbox is continuously updated and improved with new features and requests from our user community. In any year you’ll find 3 new major product releases that bring new functionality to the platform. You’ll be able to find details about the latest release here.

Does Schoolbox use AI features?

Schoolbox currently features a variety of AI features to support teachers and students and we continue to introduce new features with each release. These include AI lesson planners, text editors and image generators.

Does Schoolbox integrate with my SIS/SMS?

Implementations

How long does it take to implement Schoolbox?

A new Schoolbox instance for your school can be online and functional in as little as 6 weeks. Prior to signing on with Schoolbox our implementation team will work through your school’s requirements and develop an implementation plan that is tailored for your school.

What type of assistance will I receive implementing Schoolbox at my school?

Every Schoolbox implementation is tailored to your school. From day one, you’ll work with our Professional Services Team, former educators who guide your setup, training, and rollout to ensure a smooth transition. We provide hands-on support with data migration, integrations, and staff onboarding, along with ongoing training and resources through our Help Centre and customer community. Does Schoolbox offer training for teachers and administrators?

Yes! Schoolbox provides comprehensive training for teachers, administrators, and school leaders to ensure everyone feels confident using the platform. Our Professional Services Team, made up of former educators, delivers tailored sessions during implementation and ongoing professional learning opportunities after go-live. Schools also have access to an extensive Help Centre, on-demand resources, and a supportive customer community to continue building skills over time.

Does Schoolbox offer a free trial?

We currently do not offer a trial period for Schoolbox, however as part of our discovery process with your school our Sales team can give you access to a commitment free demo instance for you and your staff to explore the platform.

What hours are the Customer Success Team available?

Our business hours are 8:30am–6:00pm AEST, Monday to Friday. We also have a support phone line for urgent requests outside of our standard business hours.
