It’s that time again when we reflect on the past year as we lead into the festive season.
And what an awesome year it has been!
The Alaress team started the year with 16 employees, and we are now 26. That’s 60% growth in 12 months, wow! We are now also very much at home in our new office in Camberwell.
Our annual Schoolbox Meetup increased to two days and had a record-breaking attendance. The conference included an inspiring guest speaker, a diverse set of sessions contributed to by our entire team, and an important workshop to gain valuable insights to guide our future direction.
The year has culminated with a major release of Schoolbox, version 16.5, which features a redesign of the LMS to support project-based learning and personalised learning, improved submission and assessment workflows, as well as the new and highly requested feature for Schoolbox Elite customers, ‘Fixtures.’
Once again, we are sending the festive season card budget to the Alannah & Madeline Foundation to support the eSmart school program. eSmart is an initiative that uses a cultural change approach to improving cyber safety, increase digital literacy and reduce cyberbullying across Australia.
The end of the year is a time for us to reflect and give thanks, especially to our customers for being a part of the Schoolbox, version 16.5, and for helping to make 2016 a fantastic year for the Schoolbox team.
The Schoolbox team are looking forward to a well-earned break and will wrap up the year on the 23rd December, returning refreshed and ready for the new year on Tuesday the 3rd January 2017.
