Earlier this year, the Schoolbox team landed in Hong Kong for a showcase as part of our inaugural launch.
We partnered with Digistorm and EdSmart (previously ParentPaperwork) to present Tools For Smart Schools to leading independent and international schools. We demonstrated the latest K-12 technologies that make school administration, teaching and learning, and student/parent engagement more efficient!
The Showcase:
The event was graciously hosted by the Australian International School Hong Kong and promoted by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Attendees expressed that they need technology and education to be better integrated, and that innovation in technology is now a priority on the school’s agenda.
The showcase was exceptionally well received and delivered examples of how an all-in-one virtual learning environment and learning management system, mobile app, school website and school organisational system for paperless schools can move schools forward.
Eve Ching, the Education Manager from Austrade Hong Kong, reflected:
“It was wonderful to have three companies at a time to showcase the Australian edtech capability in offering innovative solutions to schools in managing school administration, facilitating teaching and engaging with students and parents. The demonstrations were impressive and inspiring for Hong Kong schools to make changes.”
What we learnt:
Tools For Smart Schools focuses on promoting student wellbeing at the core of enhancing teaching and learning in schools. It was clear that this topic resonated well with attendees and schools across Hong Kong, with many agreeing that forming meaningful relationships in schools resulted in enhanced learning outcomes.
Educators can support student wellbeing by building a positive learning culture. The ideal learning environment emphasises wellbeing and positions the school as an exciting, stimulating and welcoming place.
How Schoolbox supports student wellbeing:
Our Pastoral Care module allows schools to track, log, share and report on events that relate to student wellbeing. This supports and nurtures the whole student, through monitoring their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.
After the showcase, the guests enjoyed the opportunity to network with other leading schools’ Principals and Executives, and share in conversations about the future of education.
We hope to be back soon, but until then, make sure you get in touch to learn more about how we can inspire your school to achieve more.
See you then,
The Schoolbox team
