Are we excited! Absolutely. We have just arrived at another significant milestone for Schoolbox, K-12 Learning Management System (LMS) & School Portal, and and its recognition in the education market.
Alaress and Schoolbox were recipients of a Merit Award and chosen to represent Victoria to compete against all Australian state and territory winners for the national Education iAward.
On Wednesday 5 June, before a crowd of over 200 people at the Telstra Conference Centre, the Hon. Gordon Rich-Phillips, MLC, Assistant Treasurer, Minister for Technology and Minister for the Aviation Industry, Victorian State Government presented our award to Director’s Matthew Sambell and Sean Richards.
We ventured into uncharted territory to enter Schoolbox for the prestigious 2013 iAwards in the education category and according to the iAwards competed against an outstanding number of quality entries this year. Here are some photo’s from the event.
The iAwards are all about recognising, showcasing and celebrating the ‘best of the best’ ICT products and services and, in doing so, providing the impetus to launch more Australian ICT successes so we are thrilled to have been progressed through to the National Awards as a Victorian State representative.
Now we’re busy preparing for the nationals. This phase of judging consists of face-to-face presentations and will be held at the KPMG offices in Melbourne on August. The national judging will determine the national category winners as well as the winner for the special company/group Pioneer awards – the Inspiration Award and the Start-up Company Award for eligible contenders.
If we succeed as a national iAwards winner (or Merit), we have the opportunity to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA) to be held November in Hong Kong.
So fingers crossed and keep checking our blog for updates.
