We’re so excited to announce that Schoolbox v18.2 is now available for testing!
This update includes several new features and improvements to make you smile. Some of them were suggestions from our active Schoolbox community, so we would like to thank you for your ideas that continue to inspire our future product direction.
Although this was a quick release, it still packs a pretty big punch. To familiarise yourself with the upcoming features of v18.2, make sure you read the release notes and register for our Release Candidate Webinar, which will explain the upcoming features in more detail.

So, what are the standout features?
Due Work Filtering
We understand that a busy Due Work page can get a bit overwhelming for students, which is why we have now added filters to lessen the load. Staff will be able to configure what filters are shown by default, but users will also be able to override these and choose their own filters if they wish.
Full-Screen Schoolbox
The long-awaited side menu stash will now enable you to enjoy your Schoolbox instance in full screen. In v18.2, you will have the option to either hide the side menu, or keep it pinned to your screen if that’s more your style.
Other changes and features
Other features you can expect to see include:
- Pastoral default visibility;
- Emojis ??? and;
- Improved notifications for ePortfolios and the Social Stream component.
To receive the v18.2 Release Candidate
You will automatically receive pre-release updates of Schoolbox v18.2 on your dev server during the beta period.
At the end of the beta period, we will announce our final Gold release with instructions on how to upgrade.
